The Art of Doing Nothing: Cruising Lan Ha Bay the Chill Way

Era Cruise - The Best Part? Your Own Giant Cabin

Sailing through Lan Ha Bay is one of those experiences I keep coming back to. I’ve done it a few times now, but honestly? I’d go again in a heartbeat. This time, I hopped on the Era Cruise, a cruise that mainly explores the peaceful waters of Lan Ha Bay.

Cruises around this area are usually divided into two types, ones that go through Ha Long Bay, and ones that cruise Lan Ha Bay. Ha Long Bay is more famous, sure, but Lan Ha Bay? It’s quieter, wilder, and honestly offers more to explore. No matter which one you choose, though, it’s always worth the trip.

The bathroom is genuinely spacious.

Featuring a bathtub with a direct sea view.

The Era Cruise isn’t massive or over-the-top fancy, but the rooms? Huge. Each cabin is over 50 square meters, hands down the biggest I’ve ever stayed in on a cruise. That kind of space means you get a private bathroom with a bathtub, a sunbathing area, and a big comfy bed to sprawl out on. For me, that kind of setup screams self-care and pure relaxation.

The interior design is simple, nothing too flashy, but the spaciousness makes it super comfortable. As for the food, services, and onboard activities… nothing really stood out, so I didn’t bother them. Honestly, the highlight of this cruise for me was the room and that’s where it truly stood out

Overnight cruises here are super popular with international travelers, so expect to see a lot of foreign guests who are totally into the whole experience, even if, to me, it still feels like it could use some polish.

Still, spending a night out here is something sweet and special. It’s fun, it’s romantic, and above all, there’s something magical about sleeping on the bay, gently floating on the water, letting go of daily stress and to-do lists. So don’t hesitate, even a short, simple trip like this can give you that much-needed reset.

You’ll glide into quiet lagoons on a small rowboat, where the world feels still

One Night to Pause, One Moment to Keep

Spending a night on Lan Ha Bay wasn’t just a getaway, it was a quiet pause from the rush of everyday life. As the boat drifted through calm waters, time seemed to slow, and for once, so did I.

It is just deeply and truly relaxing.

It reminded me that sometimes, a short trip is all it takes to feel whole again. You don’t need to go far and just far enough to breathe deeper, sleep better, and come back lighter.
